Since 2015, the Sports Club “Ilinden – Sofia” has organized the International Judo Tournament “Ilinden Open”. The 2015 tournament was held in Sofia, Triaditsa Hall, with over 800 competitors from 15 countries and many clubs from Bulgaria.

In 2016, the tournament was held in the town of Slivnitsa in a newly built sports hall. The event included 700 competitors and expanded the geographical reach to include additional foreign countries.

In 2017, the tournament is planned to be held in the Sofia Sports Hall – Sofia, under the auspices of the Capital Municipality.
